No Words

Rather than publish my regular divorce post today I am only going to send my deepest sympathies and prayers to those in Las Vegas.  As a one time resident for many years I still have many friends that live there.  The first thing I did this morning was check in with everyone to make sure they were safe.  Fortunately they were.  I spent the rest of the day in tears off and on as I mourned for those I do not even know.  I am so saddened by the state of our country right now I am almost ashamed to admit I am a citizen.  But it is the heroic acts of the ordinary people along side the police, fire, paramedics, doctors and so on that ran into the gunfire to rescue those affected, that make me proud to be an American most days.

I cannot fathom what so many people are dealing with tonight, however, living in a city that has endured this heinous type of tragedy more than once, I know that we will be strong, we will get through, we will honor the brave along side the departed and we will pray to our God’s to once and for all help us to figure out a way to end the constant and senseless violence and find out a way for us all to live in peace.  Pray for Vegas.
